How to be more positive in 2017

As the new year is here again it's time to think about what you want to achieve for the year ahead. It doesn't have to be a sad time (we know Christmas is over) but it's a new year to make a fresh start with new dreams and goals to be achieved. 

Below are some things you can do to make your year a better & more positive year than last year.

Start by making a list of goals you want to achieve in 2017 they can be as little or as big as you like but make it realistic for yourself (you don't want to be disappointed at the end of the year if you haven't achieved a certain goal.)

Have something to look forwards too. We like to have things to look forwards to throughout the year whether it's a holiday, festival or a concert, it's nice to have something planned so you can look forwards to it.

Try to set aside some time during the week so you can have some down time to relax and take care of yourself, it's so easy to forget to do this as we live such busy lives but this is the most important thing you can do for yourself. So whether its a little pamper session (bubble bath with your fave lush goodies, 
face mask & paint your nails), reading a book you've wanted to read but haven't found the time, finally getting round to doing that workout or listening to your favorite music. Do something to make yourself happy.

Make the most of your weekends and days off. We all love to have a day indoors to chill and relax and basically do nothing. However its nice to get out and about and to do something, go for a walk, go shopping, go to the cinema, have a catch up with friends or go out to lunch. Just a few ideas of some things to do.

Declutter your life. Now this can removing a negative person from your life or any negative energies, sorting out your wardrobe, bedroom or house. Anything that does not serve you get rid! Life is too short to live an unhappy life. When you remove negative people or things from your life your outlook on life will become more clearer and positive. Your happiness is the main priority

Last but not least, think positive. When you wake up in the morning if you tell yourself today's going to be a bad day it probably will be, as you have started your day thinking negative, but if your first thought in the morning is that today is going to be a good day then it will set yourself up for having a good positive day (We know this can be hard on a cold Monday morning but just give it a go) Remember the quote 'what we think, we become'.
